Performs cashier and clerical work involving contact with the public. The primary responsibilities include program registration, answering telephone, counter inquiries, filing and general support. Answers telephone and counter inquiries relating to programs, facility rentals and general inquiries about the department. Performs registration and process all related paperwork. Receives payment for programs and services. Answers multi-line telephone system. Provides support to Director and Staff. Performs related duties as required. Regular and consistent attendance for the assigned part-time, in person Friday 8:00 A.M to 5:00 P.M work hours, including a 1-hour lunch. High School graduation and one year of Clerical experience. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and minimum keyboard speed of 40 WPM. Internet skills including use of emails and multi-phone system. Customer Service and Administrative support experience. Effective working relationships with other employees and the public. Knowledge of clerical functions. Ability to understand oral and written instructions. Skills with computer, standard office software, keyboarding and internet. Ability to learn Recreation Department operations, policies and procedures.
