The Health Service Manager (HSM), under the direct supervision and in close collaboration with the Senior Health Service Manager, oversees and manages a Medical Services clinic and/or program to maximize workflow, efficiencies, and resources to ensure quality medical care is provided to the medically uninsured and underinsured. Additionally, this position assists the Health Services Manager, Senior with oversight of service contracts, the electronic health record system, budget projections, billing and collections operations, and medical records management as necessary. The HSM is directly responsible for the day-to-day health center operations and performance of designated outpatient primary care and/or specialty care health center within Family Health Services. The HSM is also directly responsible for the supervision and training of the support staff within the designated outpatient primary care and/or specialty care health center(s). The HSM implements strategic processes and plans for operational improvements within the designated primary care and/or specialty care health center(s). The HSM works in conjunction with the Senior Operations Leadership Team and in alignment with the organization’s mission to successfully implement and maintain the strategic focus and plans for the designated primary care and/or specialty care health center(s). POSITION REQUIREMENTS: Experience: Three years of increasingly responsible experience in a public health program of which one year was in a supervisory capacity; AND Education/Training: A Bachelor's degree is required from an accredited college or university preferably with a major in public administration, health services administration, nursing or a related field. Depending on assignment, incumbents in this class may be required to possess a valid Registered Nursing License issued by the California State Board of Registered Nursing or a certificate in Public Health Nursing or registration as an Occupational Therapist with the American Occupational Therapy Association or a Master's Degree in Public Health. Possession of or ability to obtain a valid Class C California driver's license may be required.
