Integrated Basic Education & Skills Training (I-BEST) Adjunct Salary: $1,000 per credit* Classification: Adjunct Faculty Olympic College is continuously seeking skilled Basic Studies adjunct faculty to fill positions within the Integrated Basic Education & Skills Training (I-BEST) Adjunct Faculty. Our identified I-BEST programs are designed to be team-taught by professional technical and basic skills facilities. I-BEST faculty are responsible for team-taught instruction. Classes are comprised of students that come from diverse educational, linguistic, and cultural backgrounds; therefore, faculty must be prepared to teach college readiness skills to all I-BEST students. This position will report to the Associate Dean of Basic Studies/Adult Education and as part of the Workforce Development Division. The work may vary between the Bremerton, Shelton, or Poulsbo Campuses. Part-time positions at the college are open continuous, and reviewed on a quarter-by-quarter basis. Individuals who apply to the applicant pool are considered active for a period of 12 months from the application date and may be contacted when vacancies occur. Team-teach with a group of professional-technical instructors in the one of the following areas with an I-BEST classroom and laboratory settings ( e.g. Manufacturing, Nursing Assistant Certified, Computer Information Systems, Business Technology) that supports students in math and basic skill areas as needed. Administer Comprehensive Adult Student Assessment System (CASAS) Appraisal, Pre-tests, and Post-tests, and collect, submit, and analyze data for program reporting in Web-based Adult Basic Education Reporting System (WABERS). Collaborate with other instructors in developing courses and curricula. Manage record keeping complying with federal and state requirements. Consult with students as needed and assist all students in setting, documenting and monitoring progress toward meaningful personal and educational goals.
