Assistant Director Public Works

We are seeking an experienced leader to serve as Assistant Director of Public Works & Engineering, helping guide a 35-person division that maintains 245 lane miles of city streets. Minimum Required Qualifications A High school diploma or GED equivalent. A bachelor's degree from an institution of higher learning accredited by the U.S. Department of Education through one of its regional accrediting agencies is required; the primary focus of education must be in Public Administration, Construction Management, Business Administration, Civil Engineering or a closely related field. Seven (7) years of experience in one or more of these fields may be substituted as determined by the Department Director. Four (4) years of supervisory experience. Must possess a valid driver's license and be insurable under the City of Branson's motor vehicle coverage when operating a vehicle as a part of the position. A passing grade on the written portion of the Class A or B CDL exam is required before employment. Must pass the driving portion of the Class A or B CDL exam with tanker endorsement within six (6) months of start date. Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite. Quaifications That Make You Competitive: Registration as a Professional Engineer in the State of Missouri as issued by the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineers.
