Hourly Athletic Facilities Maintenance Parks & Recreation Department Applications will be accepted until staffing needs are met Visit www.icgov.org/jobs to apply online Variable hours up to 25 hours per week Wage: $15.00 per hour Start & end dates are negotiable Positions anticipated to be filled approximately mid-August – December Job Summary: Under immediate supervision, responsible for maintaining and preparing soccer fields and baseball/softball diamonds for practices and league play, including field dressing, lining and general grooming. May assist with raking and operation of leaf vacuum equipment for removal of leaves for curbside pickup. May assist with winter snow removal operations. Performs other duties and operates other equipment as required. Minimum Qualifications: Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive work under all weather conditions. Some maintenance experience desired. Familiarity with soccer and baseball/softball desired. Ability to maintain an assigned schedule. Ability to perform physically demanding and repetitive work under all weather conditions. Ability to operate trucks and equipment essential for daily assignments. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Ability to positively interact with the public, coworkers and staff. Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record required with the exception of candidates under the age of 18 years of age. Must be 18 years of age if required to drive City vehicles.
