Greet customers, verify disposal receipts, and direct customers to the Chemical Collection Centers Perform preliminary chemical analysis on unknown materials Lab Packs and consolidates hazardous materials and wastes into drums for transportation and disposal in accordance with regulatory requirements and established contractor guidelines Prepare container inventory sheets and track materials in spreadsheets Load, deliver, and off-load containers of waste at approved disposal facilities Perform scheduled and non-scheduled maintenance on all collection facilities and surrounding areas Use, maintain, and calibrate environmental monitoring instruments such as gas detectors and organic vapor analyzers Pick up and transport waste to the main collection facility for processing Work Hours/Days: Working 40-hours Weekly Operating Hours: 7:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Days will either be Monday - Friday or Tuesday - Saturday Both schedules have two consecutive days off About You Minimum Qualifications : A High School Diploma or its equivalent Must pass OSHA 40-Hour Hazwoper and DOT HM 181/126 certifications within six (6) months from the time of hire The ability to obtain a Florida Class "C" CDL driver's license with Hazmat Endorsement within twelve (12) months from the time of hire A valid Florida Driver’s License at the time of hire Physical Demands: May occasionally lift and/or move more than 50 pounds Must be fit tested for a respirator. An applicant who fails to pass a required drug screening test shall be disqualified from employment in any class for a period of five (5) years. About Everything Else Starting Pay: $17.
