Water Plant Operator – North Shore Water Commission (NSWC) GENERAL DESCRIPTION (request a job description for complete list of job functions) The North Shore Water Commission is accepting applications for the position of OPERATOR TECHNICIAN. This full-time position is responsible for assisting in the operation of the water treatment plant and related equipment. This position is responsible for operating equipment such as valves and pumps, adjusting process equipment such as chemical feed pumps, and performing laboratory tests including microbiological and chemical analyses. Work also includes maintaining, calibrating, and performing minor repair of instrumentation. The incumbent works under general supervision of the Operations Supervisor and Plant Manager. PLEASE NOTE: This position works a rotating shift that consists mainly of nights and weekends.
