Industry: Security Technology / IT Infrastructure Company Location: Jurong East Working Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Salary range: $4,500 – $6,000 About the Role We are looking for an experienced IT Engineer (CloudMigration) to support the migration, implementation and maintenance ofenterprise IT infrastructure from traditional on-premises environments to asecure cloud platform. You will work closely with internal engineering teams,vendors and security stakeholders to ensure successful infrastructuremigration, system reliability and compliance with required security standards. Key Responsibilities Support the planning and execution of IT infrastructure migration from physical/on-premises environments to a VMware-based cloud platform. Deploy, configure and maintain VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF) infrastructure, including vCenter, vSAN, NSX and SDDC Manager. Support VMware Tanzu and Kubernetes environments, including deployment, configuration and troubleshooting. Perform infrastructure provisioning and application deployment using VMware Aria Automation and GitLab CI/CD . Administer and troubleshoot Windows Server and Linux environments. Support application and web platforms including IIS, Apache and Tomcat . Monitor infrastructure availability, performance and resource utilisation using tools such as Prometheus and Grafana . Perform system hardening, vulnerability remediation and infrastructure security activities. Support security assessments and testing, including SAST, DAST, penetration testing and vulnerability remediation. Troubleshoot infrastructure and application issues and coordinate with relevant technical teams for resolution. Prepare technical documentation, migration plans, system configurations and operational procedures. Provide post-migration infrastructure support, maintenance and optimisation. Work with internal teams, vendors and other stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery and system operations. Requirements Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Computer Engineering or a related discipline . 3–6 years of relevant experience in IT infrastructure, cloud, virtualisation or system engineering. Hands-on experience with VMware technologies is strongly preferred. Experience with VMware Cloud Foundation (VCF), vSAN, NSX, vCenter or SDDC Manager will be an advantage. Experience with Kubernetes / VMware Tanzu is highly preferred. Good knowledge of Windows Server and Linux administration. Experience in cloud infrastructure, networking, system troubleshooting and security. Exposure to CI/CD, GitLab, infrastructure automation or DevOps is advantageous. Experience with Prometheus / Grafana or similar monitoring tools is an advantage. Relevant certifications such as VCP, CISSP, CKA or CKAD will be advantageous. Strong analytical, troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities. Good communication and stakeholder management skills. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
