Learn more at nvpc.org.sg. This role sits within NVPC's Digital Platforms team, providing technical leadership and architectural oversight for the Giving.sg (GSG) platform. As a Solution Architect, you will work closely with the Platform Lead, business stakeholders and external technology partners to ensure the platform remains robust, scalable and aligned with NVPC's broader digital and organisational needs. You will provide independent technical advice, challenge and validate proposed solutions, and proactively identify opportunities to strengthen the platform's resilience, security and operational efficiency. As the platform evolves, the role will also support the platform's AI-readiness by assessing how data, integrations, security and governance should be designed to enable responsible and sustainable use of AI across stakeholders and operational journeys. This is a 1-year contract role. RESPONSIBILITIES Technical Leadership & Platform Architecture Provide technical leadership for Giving.sg, including solution design, technology decisions and the platform's ongoing development. Review solutions proposed by internal teams and vendors, challenging assumptions and ensuring they meet engineering standards and business needs. Work with the Platform Lead and business stakeholders to turn business needs into practical and sustainable technical solutions. Platform Reliability & Continuous Improvement Identify technical risks and opportunities to improve the platform's reliability, security, scalability and performance. Monitor platform performance and recommend improvements, taking into account cost, maintainability and long-term needs. AI, Data & Integration Readiness Work with internal teams and technology partners to strengthen platform's data and integration foundations, including data flows, API design, system interfaces and reusable platform capabilities. Support the assessment and design of AI-enabled use cases, such as user support, charity/donor insights, campaign personalization, operational automation and platform intelligence. Ensure AI-related solutions are designed with appropriate consideration for data quality, privacy, consent, explainability, security, governance and operational risks. Quality, Security & Compliance Oversee technical testing and quality checks to ensure solutions are reliable, secure and fit for purpose. Ensure solutions comply with relevant cybersecurity, technology, data protection and organisational standards. Work with internal Enterprise Product & Services team to identify and address security risks. Ensure security-by-design principles are considered in platform changes, including access control, data protection, auditability, secure integration and third-party solution risks. For AI-related initiatives, assess potential risks such as data leakage, inappropriate use of personal data, model reliability, bias, explainability and governance requirements. QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Business, or a related discipline. 7+ years of experience in solution architecture, enterprise architecture, technical architecture, or a related role Experience working with external vendors and technology partners, including reviewing proposed solutions, challenging assumptions and providing technical direction and assurance. Strong ability to translate business needs and priorities into practical, sustainable technical solutions, and to articulate architectural trade-offs and risks to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate across business, product, engineering and technology teams. Experience in the non-profit, public sector or digital platform environment would be an advantage. Ability to review architecture diagrams, solution design documents, technical specifications and vendor proposals, and translate technical trade-offs into clear recommendations Ability to communicate complex technical issues clearly to business, product, technology and senior stakeholders Good understanding of platform operations, including monitoring, incident management, release governance, technical debt management and continuous improvement.
