Job Description The Senior Associate, IT, Network Engineer is responsible for designing and implementing solutions that compliment a dynamic, always growing and evolving global network for one of the leading organizations in financial services. You will bring a unique perspective to a team that adapts and maintains a secure and reliable network hosted across both cloud and office/site network infrastructure. Although the core focus of this role will be to act as a Network Engineer with a solid understanding of Network & IT Infrastructure Fundamentals including protocols, switches, routers/firewalls, it will also include exposure to experience operating within Azure & AWS cloud tenants. You will design and manage the local and wide area networks of our organization to ensure maximum up time for our users. Reporting to the Director, IT, Infrastructure, you will: Design and Architect Networks Develop secure, scalable, and highly available network architectures using technologies like VPNs, VPCs, virtual networks, and load balancers. Cloud Network Management Provision, configure, and manage cloud-based network resources across platforms such as AWS, Azure, and Cisco Meraki. Network Security Implementation Enforce robust security measures including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, encryption, and compliance with industry standards. Performance Monitoring and Troubleshooting Continuously monitor network performance, diagnose issues, and optimize for stability, availability, and efficiency. Hybrid Network Integration Seamlessly connect cloud environments with on-premises infrastructure using secure methods like VPNs. Disaster Recovery and Continuity Planning Manage backup strategies, disaster recovery protocols, and ensure business continuity for network systems. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
