Tasks Develop and enhance the next generation of our terminal management Design, implement, and continuously improve scalable, maintainable, and high-performance software solutions. Contribute to the design and evolution of our software architecture by evaluating and applying modern architectural patterns and technologies. Take technical ownership of complex features and support the team in solving challenging technical problems. Ensure high code quality through code reviews, coding standards, automated testing, and continuous refactoring. Drive engineering excellence by improving development processes, CI/CD pipelines, automation, and modern development practices. Identify, evaluate, and mitigate technical risks related to performance, security, scalability, and maintainability. Collaborate closely with Product Owners, QA engineers, UX designers, and other stakeholders to deliver high-quality software. Mentor and support other developers through knowledge sharing, technical guidance, and best practices. Foster a collaborative engineering culture focused on quality, innovation, and continuous improvement. Qualifications Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience. Several years of professional experience in software development, preferably in enterprise application development. Strong experience with Java and Spring (Spring Boot) or another modern object-oriented programming language and framework. Solid understanding of software architecture principles, including microservices, cloud-native applications, and distributed systems. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes, Docker, Git, and relational databases (SQL). Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, and modern software engineering practices. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make sound technical decisions. Self-motivated, structured, and solution-oriented working style with a strong focus on quality. Excellent collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively in agile development teams. Good written and spoken English. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
