In this role, you will play a key part in bringing SAP to the next level by improving processes, enabling system integration, and ensuring seamless communication between SAP and external systems. You will work at the intersection of business and IT, translating operational needs into scalable SAP solutions. SAP Development & Optimization Lead initiatives to enhance and optimize SAP processes across the organization Identify opportunities to improve system performance, usability, and data integrity Configure and support SAP modules in alignment with business needs Ensure SAP supports company growth, scalability, and standardization System Integration & Interfaces Design, implement, and maintain integrations between SAP and external systems (e.g., MES, WMS, CRM, supplier platforms) Ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data exchange across systems Troubleshoot and resolve integration issues and interface failures Collaborate with external vendors and IT partners on system connectivity Project Management Lead SAP-related projects and system improvement initiatives Manage timelines, budgets, risks, and deliverables Coordinate cross-functional teams including IT, operations, finance, and supply chain Drive structured implementation of new functionalities and tools Business Process Alignment Translate business requirements into SAP solutions and technical specifications Work closely with stakeholders to align system capabilities with operational processes Support process standardization and best practice implementation Data & Performance Management Ensure high data quality and consistency across systems Monitor system performance and drive continuous improvements Support reporting and analytics improvements through SAP data structures Qualifications Several years of experience in project management. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.
Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.
When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
