About Port Port is the Agentic SDLC Platform. The way engineering teams build software is constantly evolving, and every new wave - such as AI agents operating across the SDLC- makes engineering more powerful, but also more complex and chaotic. Port turns that chaos into control: one platform to build, govern, and operate the software development lifecycle, enabling every team to move as fast as technology allows. Following our $100M Series C funding round, we are entering an exciting stage of significant growth and global expansion. As a product-led company, we believe the recipe for success is a world-class product that speaks for itself. About Your Day-to-Day As a Social Media Manager, you will play a meaningful role in shaping how Port communicates its vision and interacts with the global engineering community. You will work closely with the Content, Design, and Demand Generation teams, Product Marketing and CEO office, take ownership over Port’s organic social presence and community engagement, and help transform complex technical concepts into clear, viral, and high-impact social narratives. Responsibilities: Owning and executing the global social media strategy across LinkedIn, X, reddit, stack overflow, YouTube, and emerging developer platforms with independence and accountability. Collaborating with technical stakeholders to translate "Agentic Engineering" and platform engineering trends into engaging, platform-native content. Turning ambiguity into a structured content calendar, ensuring a consistent and high-quality brand voice that resonates with developers and CTOs alike. Driving high-quality execution of social campaigns, from live-tweeting major events to launching video series and product updates. Communicating clearly and documenting performance, using data to track engagement, follower growth, and social-to-site traffic. Continuously improving community standards, proactively engaging in technical discourse, and managing Port’s online reputation. Film, edit, and publish short-form video and Shorts as a core, recurring part of the role, frequently self-produced and often shipped same day Ghostwrite and publish thought leadership on behalf of our founder and executives, in their voice, on technical subject matter Partner directly with our technical team on research-led and engineering-focused content, translating complex material into content that developers respect How Success Will Look Like Success in this role means becoming the digital voice of Port, building a loyal and engaged community of engineering leaders. Within the first months, you are expected to: Take full ownership of all social channels and establish a predictable posting cadence. Deliver consistent, high-quality content that significantly increases organic engagement rates. Proactively identify trending topics in the DevOps and Platform Engineering space to position Port as a thought leader. Build strong working relationships with internal SMEs (Subject Matter Experts) to extract insights for content. Contribute to a calmer, more predictable social workflow through better planning and automation. What we're looking for: A creator's instinct. You film, you publish constantly, and you have a personal feel for what performs rather than only a framework for it Genuine comfort working alongside deeply technical people, with the ability to hold a credible conversation about engineering subject matter Demonstrated thought leadership experience, ideally ghostwriting for founders or executives Someone who works well with spontaneity. Priorities here shift the same day and the strongest ideas often arrive unplanned Requirements: Writing And Creative Skills 4+ years of experience in social media management or community building, specifically for a technical B2B SaaS or DevTools company. Experience with technical storytelling—you can explain the evolution from a static Internal Developer Portal (IDP) to an Agentic Engineering Platform (AEP) in a concise, high-impact social post. Proficiency in social media toolstacks (e.g., Sprout Social, Buffer, Canva, and native analytics platforms). Ability to operate in a fast-paced environment, responding to industry news and technical trends in real-time. Personal Attributes & Mindset High ownership mentality — you treat our social channels as your own product and care deeply about every reply and post. Strong sense of structure — you are highly organized and can manage a multi-channel calendar without friction. Comfortable with technical ambiguity — you aren't afraid to dive into documentation to find the "hook" for a post. Collaborative and creative — you can brainstorm with designers one hour and data analysts the next. Clear and witty communicator — you have a "voice" that is professional yet authentic to the developer community. Cares deeply about impact — you don't just chase "likes"; you care about driving meaningful conversation and brand affinity.
