We are looking for a DevOps engineer with a background in Linux systems admin, operations and web application development since we are taking our geospatial applications to the cloud for greater scalability and robustness to streamline workflow and to support business growth. We are at an exciting business stage, and this is a central contributing role you will be expected to influence architectural decisions, implement and manage cloud deployments, script automations (Bash, Python, etc..), write code (mostly Python) and help move our core product to continuous delivery. This is a role that will grow significantly with the business. We offer the possibility to work remotely in Italy or outside Italy. We give preference to candidates able to work in our office or at least in our timezone. Main Responsibilities are as follows: Creationg of continuous delivery chains using Jenkins and other DevOps tools (e.g. GitLab Pipelines) Creationg and analytics dashboards based on Elastic Stack Creation of monitoring dashboard Coordinate with the development team toimprove the delivery process and the robustness of deployments Management and monitoring of continuous delivery processes for clients Ability to Play the Q&A Engineer role when needed Monitor quality and SLA levels for production deployments. Manage and improve support procedures as needed Qualifications are as follows: 3+ years experience in a systems admin, operations role DevOps experience with cloud (mostly AWS, Azure and VMware) architecture and systems operation Experience with Docker Experience with Kubernetes or similar technologies Linux Jedi Experience with managing High Traffic and Spikes is desirable Experience with Python or similar scripting is desirable Experience with Jenkins is desirable Experience with the Elastic Stack is a plus Experience with at least one of Chef/Pupet/Ansible is a plus Passion for the internet, open-source, computing, devices. You’re keen to push the envelope and develop elegant solutions, continuously improving your skills and projects that you work on. More on qualifications: You are comfortable working independently, while functioning as part of a dynamic team that values collaboration, dialogue, development, learning, and growth. You care about solving big, systemic problems. You look beyond the surface to understand root causes so that you can build long-term solutions for the whole ecosystem. What you can expect: Our intention is to establish a long term relationship so this is not a project based contract. Working remotely is an option we fully embrace. The ideal candidate should work from a timezone between GMT-1 and GMT+3 to ensure maximum overlap with the rest of the team. Relocation is not requested and as such we are not envisioning any relocation support package.
