LHH Recruitment Solutions has partnered with a leading organization within the Health, Wellness, and Beauty / Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) space is seeking a Trade Spend & Deduction Management Specialist to support sales and financial operations. This role plays a key part in managing trade spend forecasting, execution, and deduction resolution for major retail and digital commerce customers. The Specialist will be responsible for maintaining trade investment data, reviewing and actualizing deductions, and partnering closely with sales and client contacts to ensure accuracy, compliance, and timely resolution of discrepancies. CPG experience is required. Temp‑to‑Perm | $30–$32/hour Hybrid – Morristown, NJ (3 days onsite) Key Responsibilities Maintain and update all shipment forecasts, promotional events, and trade spend data within the client’s Trade Investment Management (TIM) system Translate forecasted volume and trade event data from internal portals into the client TIM platform Review trade deductions and accurately allocate them by customer, category, and promotional event Reconcile actual trade spend against financial reports to ensure accuracy and alignment Partner with sales teams to research, validate, and resolve deductions at key retail customers Investigate unplanned, invalid, or short-paid charges and communicate findings clearly to internal stakeholders Serve as a point of contact for deduction-related inquiries from internal teams and client partners Collaborate cross-functionally to resolve deduction issues efficiently and prevent reoccurrence Retrieve and manage supporting trade, promo, and brand documentation from shared systems and upload to internal document repositories Core Competencies Customer & Client Focus: Builds trust and maintains effective relationships with sales teams and client stakeholders Organization & Planning: Manages multiple priorities, organizes large volumes of data, and meets deadlines consistently Perseverance: Demonstrates persistence when resolving complex or disputed deductions Priority Setting & Time Management: Focuses on high-impact work and efficiently manages competing demands Technical Learning: Quickly learns systems, tools, and CPG trade processes Qualifications Education & Experience Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience required Minimum 3+ years of experience in trade spend, deduction management, collections, accounting, or CPG finance roles Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) experience is required Professional Skills Strong analytical mindset with intellectual curiosity Excellent written and verbal communication skills Highly organized with strong attention to detail Comfortable managing multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment Advanced proficiency in Excel ; PowerPoint experience preferred Experience working with Trade Investment Management (TIM) systems strongly preferred Work Environment Hybrid schedule: 3 days onsite / 2 days remote Location: Morristown, NJ Minimal travel, as needed Benefit offerings include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, EAP program, commuter benefits and 401K plan.
