Role Description This is a full-time, on‑site Mechanical Engineer (מהנדס.ת מכונות) role . The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, developing, and testing mechanical components and assemblies for defense and commercial applications, in close collaboration with cross‑functional engineering, manufacturing, and integration teams. Day‑to‑day tasks include preparing 3D models and detailed drawings, performing mechanical calculations and tolerance analyses, supporting prototype builds, and overseeing integration and verification activities at customer sites and partner facilities. The role includes preparing technical documentation, reports, and specifications; providing engineering support during installation and maintenance; and participating in design reviews and continuous improvement initiatives. The position requires regular interaction with suppliers, manufacturing partners, and customers to ensure that solutions meet technical, quality, and regulatory requirements. Qualifications Strong mechanical design skills, including 3D CAD proficiency (e.g., SolidWorks, Creo, or similar), mechanical drawings, and tolerance analysis. Experience with mechanical systems development, including materials selection, manufacturing methods, and assembly processes. Ability to perform basic engineering calculations, stress analysis, and design verification activities. Familiarity with relevant industry standards, quality processes, and documentation practices; experience working under ISO‑9001 is an advantage. Experience supporting installation, integration, testing, and maintenance of mechanical systems in field or lab environments. Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline. Strong problem‑solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to collaborate effectively in multidisciplinary and multicultural teams. Good communication skills in Hebrew and English, including the ability to prepare clear technical documentation and interface with customers and partners.
