Job Description The position holder is responsible for piping material engineering deliverables, functions as a subject matter expert for valves and piping specialty items and assists in project execution by coordinating with internal teams, vendors, and SLB Supply Chain. The position may report to the Piping Engineering Lead or Piping Engineering Manager. Successful position holders are strong communicators, demonstrate excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities, and work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams and vendor. Roles And Responsibilities Responsible for creation and maintenance of valve lists, valve datasheets, piping specialty item lists, and associated datasheets. Develop and implement Technical Requisitions (TR), Technical Bid Evaluations (TBE), and ensure accuracy through comprehensive vendor document reviews. Keep abreast of project specifications, industry standards, and developments in piping material engineering and valve technologies. Monitor the work and progress of piping engineers to ensure timely, high‑quality deliverables. Develop extensive relationships with vendors, suppliers, and SLB Supply Chain to enable smooth procurement and technical coordination. Interface with piping layout, process, project engineering teams, vendors, and SLB Supply Chain throughout the design and procurement phases. Build an effective Piping Material Specification (PMS) and Valve Material Specification (VMS) framework aligned with project requirements. Qualifications And Experience Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering (B.E.) 8–10 years of experience in: Piping material engineering Valve and piping specialty item specification Technical bid evaluation and vendor document reviews Coordination with supply chain and vendors Knowledge of ASME piping and valve codes and standards, including but not limited to ASME B31.3, ASME B16 series, API/ISO valve standards. Knowledge of PMS, VMS preparation and relevant Oil & Gas industry practices. Desirable experience/skills: Oil & Gas industry experience EPC project execution experience Strong English communication skills PTS Piping Engineer SLB is an equal employment opportunity employer.
