Position Description QA Engineer /Test Automation Engineer Experience 3–8 years Job Description We are looking for an experienced QA Engineer with 3–8 years of hands on experience in Manual and Automation Testing. The candidate should have strong expertise in software testing methodologies, test automation frameworks, API testing, defect management, and Agile/Scrum processes. Key Responsibilities Analyze business and technical requirements and prepare comprehensive test scenarios and test cases. Perform functional, regression, integration, system, smoke, sanity, and end to end testing. Design, develop, and maintain automated test scripts using appropriate automation frameworks. Execute automated and manual test suites and analyze test results. Identify, document, track, and validate defects using tools such as Jira or similar defect management systems. Develop and maintain reusable automation frameworks and testing utilities. Perform API testing using tools such as Postman, REST Assured, or equivalent. Participate in requirement reviews, design discussions, sprint planning, and defect triage. Work closely with developers, business analysts, product owners, and other QA engineers to resolve issues. Integrate automated test suites with CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub Actions, Azure DevOps, or similar tools. Maintain test documentation, test reports, and quality metrics. Identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation efficiency, and overall QA processes. Mentor junior QA engineers and provide technical guidance on testing and automation practices. Required Technical Skills 7–8 years of experience in Software Testing / QA. Strong experience in Manual Testing and Test Automation. Good knowledge of Selenium WebDriver or equivalent automation tools. Strong programming experience in Java / Python / C# / JavaScript. Experience with automation frameworks such as TestNG, JUnit, Cucumber, PyTest, or equivalent. Good understanding of API testing and REST/SOAP services. Experience with SQL and database testing. Hands on experience with Git and CI/CD tools. Experience working with Jira or similar test/defect management tools. Strong understanding of SDLC, STLC, Agile/Scrum, and defect life cycle. Experience creating and maintaining automation frameworks using Page Object Model or similar design patterns. Good understanding of cross browser and end to end testing.
