In this role, you'll: We currently have a permanent full-time opportunity for a Truck Driver (HR General) to join the District Works Mid North Coast team based in Port Macquarie. You prioritise the safety of yourself and others at work, both physically and mentally. You've been developing your skills and are ready to work on projects that matter to the people of NSW. You know that quality matters and that delivering results requires a great team. In this role, you'll: Perform maintenance and manual labouring at a Road Worker grade 3 - including tasks using plant and equipment and powered and non-powered hand tools when not operating the Truck. Competently operate HR Trucks primarily designed for the haulage of fuel, bulk materials and fitted with hydraulic tipping gear. Tow any trailers that their vehicle is rated to tow. Operate a HIAB or similar truck mounted crane. Work collaboratively with the team including Team Leaders and Works Supervisors to manage the day-to-day operations and tasks as well as resolve issues that may arise. Keep up to date with WHS legislation and policies and procedures as it relates to minimising risk and keeping to safe work standards. Work a 9 Day Fortnight. In addition to the above, there may be requirements to work outside of normal working hours and away from home. About You We are looking for experienced Truck Drivers who has the capability to work under limited supervision and has experience in maintaining a safe and injury free workplace for all employees. Essential Tickets and Licence: White Card Heavy Rigid Driver's Licence Labouring experience in a construction or civil environment or road worker and experience and understanding of local road networks across the district. We are seeking those that reside within a 70 km travelling distance from the Port Macquarie Dept as you will be on call when required. Whilst not required, experience in operating plant (excavator, bobcat, padfoot/smooth drum roller) is advantageous.
