Summary The Business Systems Administrator serves as a strategic partner between IT and business teams, providing application ownership and helping align business processes, technology solutions, and operational objectives. The role works closely with leadership, functional teams, vendors, and technical resources to support and optimize enterprise applications, improve workflows, resolve issues, and ensure systems effectively support business needs. Key Responsibilities Serve as the primary liaison between business stakeholders and IT for assigned enterprise applications. Own application administration, access and permissions, optimization, governance, vendor coordination, and lifecycle management. Partner with business teams to understand workflows, pain points, and opportunities for process and system improvement. Provide advanced application support, perform root-cause analysis, and coordinate with internal teams and vendors to resolve issues. Evaluate application changes for downstream impacts across workflows, security, reporting, Finance, HR, Operations, Revenue Cycle, and other business functions. Lead or support application upgrades, testing, release management, and implementation activities. Establish and improve standards for application administration, documentation, governance, and ongoing support. Maintain clear communication with stakeholders regarding issues, priorities, dependencies, and recommended next steps. Qualifications 5+ years of experience supporting, administering, or managing enterprise business applications. Experience supporting SaaS and enterprise platforms such as HRIS, ERP, EHR, finance, Revenue Cycle, workflow, or operational systems. Healthcare industry experience with an understanding of Revenue Cycle processes, including billing, claims, payments, reimbursements, and remittance workflows. Experience managing application access, permissions, troubleshooting, documentation, vendor coordination, and ongoing optimization. Strong understanding of application governance, business workflows, role-based access, and healthcare privacy requirements. Experience with Microsoft tools, Jira, Monday.com, NetSuite, HRIS, EHR, or comparable enterprise applications is preferred. Skills and Abilities Strong analytical, critical-thinking, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills. Ability to identify where application or process issues reside and coordinate the appropriate resources to drive resolution. Ability to understand the downstream impact of system and workflow changes. Strong communication skills across technical, operational, clinical, and executive stakeholder groups. Ability to manage multiple applications, priorities, and competing deadlines with minimal supervision. Customer-focused approach with a commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
