Senior Oracle DBA - Azure Cloud Migration Sydney location | Ongoing contracts | Competitive market rates Join a major Oracle-to-Azure cloud migration program Multiple contract opportunities available Work with Oracle 19c, Exadata, RAC and cloud technologies A large NSW Government department is seeking experienced Senior Oracle DBAs to join a significant cloud transformation program. You will provide hands-on technical expertise across the migration of complex Oracle database environments from on-premises infrastructure to Microsoft Azure, while supporting the performance, security and availability of the broader database environment. Key responsibilities Administer and support Oracle Database 19c within Exadata RAC environments Support the migration of Oracle databases from on-premises infrastructure to Azure Deploy, manage and tune Oracle Autonomous Database environments Configure and maintain Data Guard and RMAN solutions for backup, recovery and disaster recovery Perform database migrations using Oracle Data Pump Monitor database environments using Oracle Enterprise Manager Troubleshoot performance issues and optimise database availability and resource utilisation Develop Linux shell scripts to automate routine DBA activities Support Oracle security, auditing, encryption and Data Safe implementation Work with Azure infrastructure, networking, availability zones and DNS services To be successful, you will bring: Extensive hands-on experience as a Senior Oracle DBA in complex enterprise environments Strong Oracle Database 19c, Exadata and RAC expertise Proven experience delivering Oracle database migrations Experience with Oracle Autonomous Database Strong knowledge of Data Guard, RMAN and Data Pump Advanced Linux and shell-scripting capability Experience with database performance tuning, troubleshooting and optimisation Strong Oracle Enterprise Manager experience Knowledge of Oracle security best practices, auditing, encryption and Data Safe Exposure to Microsoft Azure cloud environments and networking Experience with Oracle Zero Downtime Migration (ZDM) and Oracle GoldenGate will be highly regarded.
