Database Administrator

Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Database Administrator at SICURA CON ME. The Database Administrator will manage and maintain the company’s databases, ensuring availability, performance, security, and integrity. Day-to-day responsibilities include monitoring database health, performing backups and recovery, managing user access, and overseeing data replication and synchronization. The role also involves designing and optimizing database structures, troubleshooting issues, supporting data-related requests from internal teams, and collaborating with stakeholders to improve systems and workflows. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong skills in Database Administration and general Databases management. Candidates should possess skills in Database Design and optimization of database structures. Candidates should possess skills in Troubleshooting database performance, reliability, and access issues. Candidates should possess skills in managing Replication and ensuring data consistency across environments. Experience with common relational database systems (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server) or similar technologies. Understanding of database security, backup, and recovery best practices. Ability to work independently in a remote setting and communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. Relevant education or certifications in computer science, information technology, or related fields are beneficial.
