*This role requires several days per week onsite in Conshohocken, PA, so the person must live commutable to the Philadelphia area/suburbs or they will not be considered* We are seeking an experienced Oracle SQL / ETL Data Developer to join a critical data processing and integration team responsible for ingesting, transforming, validating, and distributing large volumes of data across enterprise systems. This is a hands-on development role heavily focused on Oracle SQL, data transformation, file ingestion, ETL, and batch processing. This is not a reporting or BI-focused position. The ideal candidate has spent significant time working directly with complex data, processing inbound files, troubleshooting data issues, and ensuring accurate data moves reliably between systems. What You'll Be Doing Develop and maintain data processing solutions using Oracle SQL, SQL, and PL/SQL Write complex SQL queries to manipulate, transform, validate, and reconcile data Build and support ETL / data transformation processes for high-volume inbound data Receive and process files from multiple external sources through FTP/SFTP and batch file processing Parse, validate, normalize, and transform incoming files before loading data into Oracle databases Develop and support batch processing and scheduled data workflows Troubleshoot malformed files, missing data, incorrect formats, failed loads, and other data-processing issues Perform data validation, reconciliation, exception handling, and data quality checks Investigate production issues and quickly determine the root cause of data discrepancies or processing failures Ensure data is accurately transformed and delivered to the appropriate downstream applications and systems Work with large datasets in a production environment where accuracy, reliability, and timeliness are critical Support and improve existing data pipelines, ETL workflows, file-transfer processes, and database procedures Technical Skills Strong hands-on SQL development experience — this is the most important technical requirement Strong experience working with Oracle databases Experience with Oracle SQL and/or PL/SQL Strong understanding of relational databases, data structures, joins, stored procedures, queries, and data manipulation Experience with ETL, data integration, data transformation, or data ingestion Experience processing flat files, CSV files, delimited files, or other structured data feeds Experience with FTP/SFTP, automated file transfers, and batch processing Experience with data validation, data reconciliation, data quality, and exception handling Ability to troubleshoot complex SQL, database, file-processing, and data-related production issues Python experience is helpful but secondary to strong SQL skills Experience working with scheduled or automated data pipelines and batch jobs is highly desirable What We're Looking For Approximately 7+ years of professional software, database, or data development experience preferred; open to more senior candidates A developer who is genuinely comfortable spending a significant portion of the day working in straight SQL Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Experience supporting business-critical production data processes Comfortable troubleshooting time-sensitive data and processing issues Detail-oriented with a strong focus on data accuracy and integrity Able to remain calm and methodical when unexpected production or data issues arise Comfortable working independently and taking ownership of critical daily processing *Schedule This position follows an early-day schedule, approximately 7:00 AM – 4:00 PM, with an expected four-day-per-week onsite/hybrid schedule. Particularly Relevant Backgrounds Candidates coming from environments involving high-volume transactional data, ETL, data integration, file processing, batch processing, data reconciliation, database development, or production data operations should translate particularly well to this role.
