Data Scientist Azure Databricks

Data Scientist (Azure Databricks) TCS is seeking a Data Scientist with experience in Azure Databricks to join a collaborative and fast‑paced environment where technology and business come together to create meaningful impact. This role plays a key part in leveraging data to generate insights, build predictive models, and support data-driven decision-making across business functions. The ideal candidate is an analytical and detail‑oriented professional with strong expertise in data science, machine learning, and big data platforms, capable of transforming complex datasets into actionable insights and collaborating effectively within cross-functional, global teams in a dynamic, multi‑initiative environment. Key Responsibilities Analyze large and complex datasets to extract meaningful insights and support business objectives. Design, develop, and deploy machine learning models and advanced analytics solutions. Leverage Azure Databricks to build scalable data processing pipelines and analytical solutions. Collaborate with data engineers and stakeholders to understand data requirements and business use cases. Perform data cleaning, transformation, and feature engineering to prepare datasets for modeling. Develop and optimize predictive models using statistical and machine learning techniques. Validate, test, and monitor models to ensure performance, accuracy, and reliability. Visualize and communicate insights through dashboards, reports, and presentations. Work closely with business teams to translate data findings into actionable recommendations. Implement best practices in experiment tracking, model versioning, and reproducibility. Support deployment of models into production environments. Continuously explore new tools, techniques, and technologies to improve data science capabilities. Document methodologies, models, and processes clearly. Technical Requirements & Expertise Proven experience as a Data Scientist or similar role. Strong proficiency in Python and data science libraries (e.g., Pandas, NumPy, Scikit-learn). Hands-on experience with Azure Databricks for data processing and analytics. Experience working with big data technologies such as Spark (PySpark preferred). Strong understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical analysis, and predictive modeling. Experience with data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau, or similar). Familiarity with SQL and working with large-scale datasets. Experience with Azure ecosystem tools (e.g., Azure Data Lake, Azure Synapse, Azure ML) is a plus. Understanding of data pipelines, ETL processes, and data engineering concepts. Knowledge of model deployment and MLOps practices is a plus. Experience working in Agile environments and collaborating with cross-functional teams. Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and ability to present complex findings to non-technical stakeholders.
