Role Description The Pet Care Associate is a full-time, on-site role based in Taylorsville, KY. This position is responsible for providing daily care to dogs in the boutique boarding facility, including feeding, watering, walking, and monitoring behavior and health. The role includes maintaining clean and sanitary kennels and common areas, performing laundry tasks, and ensuring pets have fresh bedding and a comfortable environment. The Kennel Assistant supports grooming and boarding operations by safely handling animals, assisting with check-in and check-out, and communicating clearly with team members and clients. This role requires reliability, attention to detail, and a compassionate approach to animal care. Qualifications Candidates should possess skills in Animal Care and Pet Care, including safe feeding, monitoring well-being, and providing humane, compassionate treatment. Candidates should possess skills in Animal Handling, with the ability to safely manage dogs of various sizes, temperaments, and needs. Candidates should possess skills in Laundry and basic housekeeping to maintain clean, organized, and hygienic kennel spaces. Candidates should possess strong Communication skills to interact professionally with clients and collaborate effectively with team members. Additional qualifications: prior experience in kennels, shelters, or veterinary settings preferred; ability to stand, walk, and lift moderate weight throughout shifts; willingness to work weekends and holidays as needed; commitment to safety and adherence to facility policies.
