As an HR Generalist, you’ll have the opportunity to make an impact across the employee experience while gaining broad exposure to key areas of Human Resources - from onboarding and employee relations to benefits, compliance, recruiting, engagement, and talent management. This is a hands-on role for an HR professional who enjoys working with people, solving problems, and helping create a workplace where employees can succeed. What you’ll do: Support day-to-day HR operations and serve as a resource for employees and leaders Facilitate new hire orientation and help create a positive onboarding experience Administer HR functions including benefits, leave, compensation, performance, talent management, recognition, and morale initiatives Support employee relations, disciplinary meetings, investigations, and terminations Oversee pre-employment screening processes and requirements Provide recruiting support, including interviewing and hiring, and participate in job fairs and recruiting events Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations Support employee engagement, recognition, wellness, safety, training, and development initiatives Contribute to HR technology and process improvement projects Help bring company-wide initiatives and events such as May Day, Safety Day, and Tusco Gives to life What we’re looking for: Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field Previous HR Generalist experience Strong knowledge of employment-related laws and regulations Excellent communication, interpersonal, and conflict-resolution skills Strong organization, attention to detail, and time-management skills Sound judgment and the ability to handle sensitive information with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite Ability to learn and effectively utilize HRIS and talent management systems Why Tusco?
