About The Company At Wiseasy, we're not just leading the charge in payment innovation; we're redefining it. Our mission is to empower and integrate global innovation in Intelligent Payments. We do this by specializing in cutting-edge 'SMART' terminals and comprehensive payment technology services. Our full suite of enterprise solutions, encompassing "Cloud + Software + Terminals," is designed to transform the landscape of financial transactions. We are the catalysts for change in the payments space, enabling banks, acquirers, fintech companies, telecom operators, and Industry Solution Providers (ISVs) to offer a spectrum of financial services and create new revenue streams. These services are tailored to enhance cost-efficiency, operational effectiveness, and raise the bar of customer satisfaction. About The Role As a Presales Engineer (Android) at Wiseasy, based in India, you will play a crucial role in driving the adoption of our innovative payment solutions across the region. This is a client-facing role where you will support customers and business partners — including resellers, distributors, and system integrators — by developing demo applications and Proof of Concept (PoC) solutions using Android SDK resources, tools, and technical expertise to effectively promote, sell, and support our products and services. The primary goal is to strengthen our customer and partner ecosystem and drive mutual success. This role requires approximately 15–20% travel within India and potentially across the APAC region. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field. At least 2–3 years of experience in Android development or a Technical Support role, preferably in fintech or the card-present transaction domain. Prior experience with Android POS terminals, payment gateways, and EMV specifications is a strong advantage. Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or Flutter, with hands-on experience in Android Studio or similar IDEs. Familiarity with India's payments ecosystem (UPI, NPCI, RuPay, Aadhaar-based authentication) is a plus. Strong technical acumen with the ability to understand and troubleshoot software issues independently. Excellent communication skills in English; proficiency in Hindi or other regional Indian languages is an advantage. Mandarin communication skills will also be considered a plus. Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, multicultural, and multilingual environment while managing multiple tasks simultaneously. Strong interpersonal skills with a focus on building long-term customer relationships. Responsibilities Collaborate with the Sales team to identify new business opportunities and drive customer acquisition across the Indian market. Engage with customers and business partners to understand technical requirements and propose appropriate solutions. Develop demonstrative applications to validate customer-specified proof of concepts. Ensure seamless integration of our SDKs and APIs into clients' applications by analyzing logs and technical documents. Conduct training sessions and workshops to educate customers on our products and solutions. Troubleshoot technical issues and provide timely, effective resolutions. Stay informed on India's digital payments landscape, including UPI, RuPay, and regulatory frameworks such as RBI guidelines, to better contextualize Wiseasy solutions for local clients. Benefits Wiseasy offers a competitive benefits package designed to support our employees' professional and personal growth. This includes comprehensive health insurance plans, performance-based incentives, and opportunities for career advancement within a rapidly expanding organization. We promote a collaborative and inclusive work environment that encourages innovation and continuous learning. Employees will also benefit from exposure to cutting-edge payment technologies and the chance to work with a diverse, global team. Additionally, we provide flexible work arrangements and support ongoing training to help you stay ahead in the evolving fintech landscape. Equal Opportunity Wiseasy is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees. We do not discriminate based on race, religion, gender, sexual orientation, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic. We believe that a diverse workforce enhances our innovation, creativity, and overall success, and we are dedicated to fostering a workplace where everyone can thrive.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
