The HR Department SOSA is primarily responsible for maintaining the HR files and providing back up support to the HR business line. This highly specialized function requires that the SOSA be knowledgeable in Joint Commission and CMS Standards for credentialing medical staff in hospital organizations. The SOSA is also responsible for coordinating the HR schedules, including the on-call coverage to meet the afterhours and emergency needs of the facility. The SOSA organizes and facilitates the orientation of new hire employees as needed, including serving as back up to the HR Assistant. The SOSA also supports the Human Resources Director at EMPHS. Facilitates training and meetings for all HR Department staff Badge and keys issuance Provides administrative support to the HR Director & HR Specialist - Benefits. Organizes and facilitates orientation of new hire staff as needed Provides administrative support to Quality Counsel Committee and Environment of Care Committee Provides administrative support to Executive Committee Members (other than Medical Director) at EMPHS (Chief Executive Officer, CFO, and Treatment Director) as needed. Updates HR Staff SOP’s (Standard Operating Procedures) Daily, regular contacts by phone and email with members of the facility Staff, as well as members of the Executive Committee and Clinical Management team Prepares and facilitates the collection of required documents for the disciplinary process, tax compliance notifications and follow-up. Prepares FMLA, WC & ADA letters as needed under the direction of the HR Specialist – Benefits Provide coverage at other campuses in the Eastern Region as needed Additional duties as needed Ability to evaluate proposed legislative changes and make recommendations for executive staff review. Ability to analyze current expenditures and develop budget projections. Knowledge of federal and state laws, rules and regulations and policies and procedures as applied to human resources and programs Ability to exercise discretion and confidentiality Must be well organized and to successfully manage work priorities Must possess proficient writing and processional communication skills 3-5 years of relevant experience. (Substitutions may be allowed.)
