Role Description The ELV Technician will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining extra low voltage systems such as CCTV, access control, fire alarm, public address, data cabling, and related security and communication systems. Day-to-day tasks include reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and installation manuals; performing cable routing, termination, and panel wiring; and assisting with system commissioning and troubleshooting on-site. The role involves coordinating with supervisors and other technicians to plan work schedules, ensuring compliance with safety standards, and documenting work performed and materials used. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Kozhikode, requiring regular site visits and hands-on work with tools, equipment, and electronic components. Qualifications Candidates should possess strong technical skills in installing, configuring, and maintaining ELV systems (e.g., CCTV, access control, fire alarm, data and network cabling). Candidates should possess practical skills in using hand tools, power tools, test equipment, and measurement instruments for wiring, termination, and system testing. Candidates should possess the ability to read and understand technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and manufacturer documentation, with good problem-solving and troubleshooting capabilities. Candidates should possess effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to follow instructions, coordinate with project teams, and interact professionally with clients and contractors. Candidates should possess basic computer literacy for maintaining records, preparing simple reports, and using standard office or diagnostic software. Relevant technical diploma or certification in electronics, electrical engineering, instrumentation, or a related field is preferred; prior experience in ELV or electrical installation is an added advantage. Knowledge of safety standards, safe work practices, and local electrical regulations is beneficial; willingness to work on-site at different project locations in Kerala is required.
