As a Senior Database Developer , you'll play a key role in designing, optimizing, and scaling high-performance database platforms that support mission-critical systems. Working across MongoDB, AWS RDS MySQL/Aurora, and cloud-native environments , you'll help ensure our platforms remain reliable, secure, and ready to support continued innovation. This is a hybrid role. You'll join a collaborative engineering environment where you'll contribute as a Senior Database Developer , partnering with cross-functional teams to drive database performance, reliability, security, and operational excellence. What You'll Do Design and implement high-performance MongoDB solutions for complex and demanding workloads. Manage and optimize AWS RDS MySQL/Aurora environments to balance performance, scalability, security, and cost efficiency. Support database deployments and orchestration within EKS (Kubernetes) environments. Partner with development teams to create efficient data models, indexing strategies, and high-performing queries. Manage database schema versioning and deployment processes using GitHub and Flyway. Monitor database health and performance using native database tooling, AWS CloudWatch, and Datadog. Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve performance bottlenecks across database environments. Strengthen data integrity, security controls, compliance standards, and disaster recovery readiness. Support database migrations and interoperability across multiple relational database platforms. Contribute to continuous improvements in database architecture, operational processes, and platform reliability. What You Bring Strong expertise in MongoDB architecture, development, optimization, and operations. Experience developing and administering MySQL databases, including AWS RDS and Aurora environments. Hands-on experience working with AWS cloud services. Familiarity with Kubernetes, particularly EKS and containerized deployments. Experience using GitHub-based version control and CI/CD workflows. Strong database performance tuning, troubleshooting, and query optimization capabilities. Understanding of software development lifecycle practices and their application within engineering teams. Strong communication and collaboration skills when working across technical disciplines. Knowledge of database security, disaster recovery strategies, and data migration practices. Nice to have Exposure to Infrastructure-as-Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation. Experience supporting CI/CD pipelines for database changes. Familiarity with monitoring, automation, container orchestration technologies, or additional AWS services.
