As a Python Backend Developer, you’ll be building the core infrastructure powering our platforms - ensuring reliability, scalability, and seamless integration with data and cloud services. Your Mission: Design, deploy, and maintain high-performance backend systems using Python and AWS. You’ll be developing the backbone of our architecture, working alongside frontend developers, data engineers, and DevOps specialists to deliver resilient, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities: Build Scalable Backend Systems: Develop secure, high-performance Python APIs micro-services for AI/web applications. Develop integrations with data stores such as RDBMS (MySQL, MSSQL), NoSQL (DynamoDB, OpenSearch), and cloud storage (AWS S3). Develop integrations with messaging and third-party APIs as required by projects. Develop unit tests Cloud-Native Development: Deploy and host Python API on AWS Lambda , preferably using infrastructure-as-code (Terraform/CloudFormation). Develop CI/CD pipeline and deployment automation. Familiarity with design best practices around serverless (AWS Lambda), containers (Dockers), and event-driven architectures. Requirements: Technical Expertise: 3+ years of Python backend development and web application development. Hands-on experience with AWS (Lambda, S3, RDS, EC2) and infrastructure-as-code. Experience with Azure or other cloud platforms can be considered. Proficiency in database design (RDBMS/NoSQL) and API optimization. Familiarity with DevOps tools (Git, CI/CD pipelines). Familiarity with Container services such as Docker/Kubernetes is an advantage. Familiarity with developing or integrating GenAI is an advantage. Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
