We are hiring a Windows Server Patching Administrator to support a large-scale server patching program within a major financial institution. This role is focused primarily on installing Windows server patches through SCCM and resolving issues when patches do not install successfully. The environment includes SQL, application, and web servers across multiple areas of the organization. The work is structured and execution-heavy, making it a strong fit for a server-level Technician or Administrator who is comfortable following established processes and troubleshooting when needed. Patching is frequently completed during evenings, nights, and weekends when systems can be taken offline. Off-hours work may be performed remotely and provides a good opportunity for overtime. Responsibilities: Install and manage Windows server patches using SCCM Troubleshoot and remediate unsuccessful or incomplete patch installations Support patching across SQL, application, and web server environments Work with command-line tools, file permissions, and Active Directory Complete required change-management documentation and reporting Follow established banking, compliance, and patching procedures Participate in scheduled evening, overnight, and weekend maintenance windows Assist with vulnerability-remediation activities as the role expands Qualifications: Hands-on experience patching Windows servers through SCCM Background as a Windows Server Technician, Administrator, or Engineer Working knowledge of Active Directory, file permissions, and command-line interfaces Ability to diagnose and correct common server patching failures Willingness to work onsite and support nontraditional maintenance hours Strong attention to detail and comfort working within documented processes Experience with vulnerability management or remediation is a plus Experience in a regulated or financial-services environment is helpful but not required *No C2C, 3rd Party, or Referral candidates will be considered!
