Job ID: 809185 Job Title: Cloud Security Architect Location: 1020 Birch Ridge Drive, Raleigh, NC, 27610 Work Arrangements: Hybrid Interview: Webcam Interview or In Person Job Summary: The client is seeking an Expert Cloud Security Architect to lead the security architecture, configuration, operations, compliance, and assessment of the Modernization Azure cloud environment. The role will serve as a technical bridge between, and vendors to ensure the Azure environment meets regulatory, organizational, and industry security requirements while supporting business and project objectives. Key Responsibilities • Design and maintain secure Azure architectures covering identity, networking, data protection, monitoring, logging, and governance. • Develop and enforce Azure security standards, policies, baselines, and reference architectures. • Lead threat modeling, risk assessments, security reviews, and compliance assessments. • Provide expert guidance on Azure security services, including Defender for Cloud, Microsoft Sentinel, Azure Policy, Key Vault, Azure Monitor, and Log Analytics. • Design secure multi-tenant architectures, Zero Trust models, segmentation, firewalls, DNS, PKI, IAM, and Azure landing zones. • Map security controls to NIST 800-53, NIST 800-171, PCI DSS, FIPS, and applicable state security standards. • Integrate third-party security solutions such as Cloudflare and Palo Alto with Azure. • Implement security automation and Infrastructure as Code using ARM/Bicep, Terraform, Azure DevOps/GitHub pipelines, and policy as code. • Translate security and compliance requirements into actionable technical designs and configurations. • Develop security documentation, standards, system security plans, assessment reports, and executive-level summaries. Required Qualifications • 5+ years of hands-on experience in Azure security architecture and cloud security. • Deep expertise with Azure security services and enterprise cloud governance. • Strong knowledge of cloud networking, IAM, Zero Trust, secure landing zones, and multi-tenant environments. • 5+ years of experience with security assessments, risk management, compliance frameworks, and control mapping. • Strong Infrastructure as Code and security automation experience. • Excellent technical documentation, communication, and stakeholder management skills. • Ability to provide expert-level architectural guidance in a fast-paced modernization program.
