Working within the global Fund Admin & Transfer Agency tech organization, you will take ownership of technical delivery end-to-end while actively engaging with stakeholders to translate business needs into well-planned, high-quality software solutions. Job Responsibilities Executes the build-out of strategic end-to-end platform capabilities for Fund Administration and Transfer Agency businesses Design, develop, and deliver full stack software solutions, applying strong problem-solving skills to break down complex technical challenges. Engage directly with stakeholders and product owners to gather requirements, clarify scope, and ensure technical solutions align with business objectives. Participate in development planning activities including backlog refinement, sprint planning, effort estimation, and technical roadmap definition Adopt enterprise-authorized AI-assisted engineering practices within the work environment to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted coding pipelines, code review/refactoring, test strategy acceleration, incident/root-cause analysis support), while following consistent validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of effective patterns across the team. Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain Develop secure, high-quality production code and review peers' work to maintain consistency, reliability, and adherence to engineering standards. Identify opportunities to eliminate or automate remediation of recurring issues to improve the overall operational stability of applications and systems. Maintain clear and organized documentation including technical designs, architecture decisions, and runbooks, ensuring knowledge is shared and accessible. Participate in communities of practice across Software Engineering to drive awareness and adoption of modern tooling, patterns, and best practices. Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And Skills Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3+ years applied experience Core Java and full-stack application development, Object-oriented analysis and design techniques, experience with REST APIs Hands-on practical experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle, including system design, application development, testing, CI/CD pipelines, and operational support. Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders, translating business requirements into actionable technical plans. (e.g. working collaboratively in agile teams and participating in Scrum ceremonies, stand-ups, retrospectives, sprint planning…) Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages Experience in writing and maintaining comprehensive unit, functional, and integration tests. Experience implementing observability practices including monitoring, logging, tracing, alerting, and SLO/SLA management. Experience building event-driven systems and distributed architectures using messaging and streaming technologies such as Kafka. Experience integrating operational and investment data platforms through APIs, event streams, and data pipelines. When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
