Role : Senior Backend Engineer - Node.js & AWS (Remote) Location : Remote (Work from Anywhere) Job Type: Contract Payout : $20 - $70/hour Role Overview: We are hiring for one of our clients, seeking a Senior Backend Engineer (Node.js, AWS) to work on a contract basis. The role involves designing, developing, and maintaining scalable backend services for a high-traffic platform. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver efficient, low-latency solutions in a cloud-native environment. Key Responsibilities: • Design, build, and deploy Node.js-based microservices using AWS services. • Optimize backend systems for performance, scalability, and reliability. • Implement RESTful and GraphQL APIs with a focus on security and efficiency. • Lead architectural decisions for cloud infrastructure, including EC2, Lambda, and RDS. • Monitor system health, debug issues, and implement automated testing and CI/CD pipelines. Required Skills & Qualifications: • Minimum 5 years of experience with Node.js backend development. • Strong proficiency in AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, and CloudFormation. • Experience with RESTful and GraphQL API design and implementation. • Familiarity with containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes or ECS). • Knowledge of databases, including PostgreSQL, MongoDB, or DynamoDB. • Experience with automated testing (unit, integration, and end-to-end). • Understanding of CI/CD pipelines and infrastructure-as-code tools like Terraform. • Ability to work independently in a remote, distributed team environment.
