Job Description: The Project Manager will be responsible for supporting field operations and overseeing the successful execution of concrete construction projects from initial planning through completion. This individual will coordinate closely with Superintendents, Foremen, field crews, clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal departments to ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, within budget, and according to quality expectations. The position requires someone who understands concrete construction and can step into an active project environment with the technical knowledge necessary to contribute quickly. Project Planning & Scheduling • Develop, manage, and regularly update comprehensive project schedules. • Coordinate project durations, sequencing, and milestones with clients to establish achievable schedules. • Partner with field leadership to develop site logistics, sequencing, and project phasing plans. • Identify potential schedule conflicts and proactively coordinate solutions with the appropriate project stakeholders. • Help ensure labor, materials, equipment, subcontractors, and other project resources align with scheduled activities. Project & Field Coordination • Review drawings, specifications, scopes of work, and other contract documents to understand project requirements. • Partner with Superintendents, Foremen, and field personnel to address construction questions and resolve issues that could affect project progress. • Coordinate subcontractors and vendors to support timely delivery, installation, and completion of work. • Maintain consistent communication between the office, field, clients, and other project stakeholders. • Participate in jobsite and project meetings as required. • Support field teams with the information and resources necessary to execute work efficiently. Cost & Financial Management • Establish initial project budgets and cost allocations. • Monitor project costs and labor productivity throughout construction. • Compare actual labor production against estimated rates and identify meaningful variances. • Review production performance with Superintendents and Foremen and collaborate on corrective actions when necessary. • Develop, document, and submit change orders. • Process field work orders and related project documentation. • Monitor project performance with a focus on protecting budget and overall profitability. Quality Management • Establish and maintain project-specific quality control procedures. • Work with project and field teams to promote consistent workmanship and reduce preventable rework. • Provide guidance and support to team members regarding project quality expectations. • Assist with onsite quality documentation and tracking, including concrete mix information, placed quantities, and equipment usage. • Verify that completed work aligns with plans, specifications, contractual requirements, and established quality standards. Safety • Maintain a working knowledge of organizational and project-specific safety requirements. • Reinforce safe work practices in partnership with field leadership. • Incorporate safety considerations into project planning, scheduling, logistics, and execution. • Communicate project-specific requirements and potential risks to appropriate team members. Estimating Exposure Depending on experience and interest, the Project Manager may also have the opportunity to participate in estimating activities. The organization is open to professionals whose background is primarily in project management as well as candidates with combined project management and estimating experience. Project management and estimating technology may vary depending on client and general contractor requirements. Commonly used platforms include Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Microsoft Excel, Procore, and Submittal Exchange. The position reports to senior construction leadership. Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline preferred. • Minimum of 2 years of professional construction industry experience. • Prior concrete construction experience is required. • Strong working knowledge of concrete construction means, methods, sequencing, and field operations. • Ability to read, interpret, and apply construction drawings, blueprints, specifications, contracts, and related project documentation. • Experience coordinating with Superintendents, Foremen, field crews, subcontractors, vendors, and clients. • Understanding of project scheduling, budgeting, cost tracking, labor productivity, change management, and quality control. • Strong analytical, critical-thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. • Ability to anticipate project needs and proactively address potential issues before they affect schedule, cost, or field operations. • Strong written and verbal communication skills. • Organized and detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. • Self-motivated and capable of working independently while contributing effectively within a collaborative team. • Demonstrated commitment to jobsite safety, quality, accountability, and project performance. • Experience with construction software such as Bluebeam, PlanSwift, Procore, Submittal Exchange, and Microsoft Excel is beneficial. • Estimating experience is beneficial but not required for candidates with a strong project management and concrete construction background. #31083
