SQL Database Administrator

Ideal Candidate Profile: Seeking a Database Administrator to assist with migrating existing databases from one hosted platform to a new hosted platform. Candidate need to have knowledge of moving or migrating databases, as well as systems validation after migration with working background in Microsoft SQL database administration. Architecture and troubleshooting in a working environment. Candidate need to have experience in database administration and backup/recovery management. Working knowledge of backing up and restoring of production databases. About the role This role will fill day to daily break/fix incident response on client SQL environment. The SQL environment runs in a SQL Max platform hardware solution, dedicated for SQL performance. The SQL version that the client are running range from 2008 – 2019. They also have a small Oracle footprint, some experience in Oracle is great, but the primary focus will be SQL. Other daily tasks may include utilized for running updates, restore, and recovery if or when required. Required Skills & Experience Administration and management of production databases Basic to advanced troubleshooting skills. Backup/recovery/monitoring of databases. Communication within a team environment with peers as well as customer facing Security assessment and review of database administration and access. Design, configuration, deploying, troubleshooting, administration, and maintaining systems. Ensuring project and workload documentation and process are accurate, on time, and stored properly
