Role Description The Auditor will conduct detailed reviews of financial records, tax returns, and supporting documentation to ensure accuracy, compliance with relevant laws, and adherence to internal policies. Day-to-day responsibilities include planning and executing audit procedures, identifying discrepancies or risks, preparing clear audit reports, and recommending corrective actions or process improvements. The role involves working closely with tax preparers and other team members to resolve issues, respond to client queries, and support internal quality control initiatives. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Greater Chennai Area, requiring consistent presence at the office and potential visits to client locations as needed. Qualifications Strong knowledge of accounting principles, tax regulations, and auditing standards. Proficiency in using accounting and tax software, spreadsheets, and other audit-related tools. Ability to analyze financial data, identify variances, and interpret complex regulatory requirements. Excellent written and verbal communication skills for preparing reports and interacting with clients and colleagues. High attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple audits and deadlines. Demonstrated integrity, professional ethics, and commitment to confidentiality and compliance. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA, CPA, CMA, or equivalent) are an advantage. Prior experience in auditing, tax review, or assurance services, preferably in a public accounting or tax-focused environment. Ability to work on-site in the Greater Chennai Area and collaborate effectively within a team-based setting.
