Role Overview: The RN Clinical Periop Nurse is a vital member of the interdisciplinary team, providing high-quality, safe, patient-centered care in the operating room environment. They perform the nursing process, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation, and evaluation, utilizing evidence-based practice and critical thinking. Key Responsibilities Deliver individualized, culturally sensitive care, partnering with patients and families to meet their goals. Coordinate and document safe, effective clinical care, promoting teamwork and interdisciplinary communication. Participate in performance improvement, research activities, and shared governance to enhance patient outcomes. Serve as a preceptor or mentor to foster a competent, professional nursing workforce. Support resource management and develop protocols to improve care quality and safety. Qualifications & Skills Minimum of 5 years of direct patient care nursing experience. Required licenses and certifications include RN licensure (single state or multi-state compact), BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Strong clinical judgment, communication, teamwork, and professional development skills. Ability to adhere to healthcare policies, ethical standards, and evidence-based practices.
