Title: Network Engineer III Location : Ft Worth, TX (hybrid, onsite 3x/wk) Target Start Date : ASAP Type: Contract (long-term, 2+ years) Pay Rate: $50.00-$60.00/hr Position Summary Our client, a global leader in advanced autonomous and robotic solutions across multiple industries, is seeking a Network Engineer III to design, maintain, secure, and optimize enterprise network infrastructure supporting corporate, remote, and field-deployed environments. This role provides advanced technical ownership of network systems, with responsibility for network architecture, security, performance, infrastructure modernization, and reliable connectivity across complex environments. Key Responsibilities Maintain and optimize routers, switches, firewalls, VPNs, wireless networks , and related infrastructure. Monitor network performance, availability, and reliability and resolve complex connectivity and performance issues. Design and implement network upgrades, infrastructure modernization, and secure remote connectivity. Configure and maintain network security, segmentation, firewall policies, VPN access controls, and security updates . Support vulnerability mitigation, security monitoring, and incident response. Develop and maintain network configurations, standards, architecture documentation, and troubleshooting procedures. Automate routine network administration and monitoring tasks using scripting and other tools. Collaborate with IT, security, engineering, and operations teams to support complex and field-deployed systems. Provide technical leadership during infrastructure improvements, technical reviews, and complex troubleshooting efforts. Support hybrid cloud and on-premises networking environments. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in network engineering, IT infrastructure, or cybersecurity. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, or equivalent experience. Strong hands-on experience with enterprise networking hardware such as Cisco, Juniper, Fortinet, or Palo Alto . Strong knowledge of BGP, OSPF, VLANs , and enterprise networking concepts. Experience managing firewalls, VPNs, network security, and network segmentation . Experience with network monitoring and diagnostic tools such as SolarWinds, PRTG, or Wireshark . Ability to independently manage complex network systems and troubleshoot advanced issues. Strong documentation, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills. Preferred Qualifications Experience supporting robotics, autonomous systems, automation, or field-deployed technology . Experience with hybrid cloud and on-premises network environments . Experience implementing network segmentation in high-security environments. Scripting or automation experience with Python or PowerShell . CCNA, CompTIA Network+, or equivalent certification . Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
