About The Role We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Data Engineer to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will own the end-to-end data lifecycle, from raw source data ingestion to delivering actionable insights through dashboards and data products. Your work will directly support various functions across the US and UK, including operations, revenue cycle, marketing, sales, provider success, and product development. You will be instrumental in building and maintaining a reliable, well-documented data transformation infrastructure using modern tools such as Fivetran, Python, Snowflake, dbt, Tableau, and AI-assisted development platforms. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical foundation, excellent stakeholder communication skills, and a passion for leveraging data to solve complex business problems. As part of our scale-up environment, your role will evolve over time, providing ample opportunities for growth and impact. Qualifications Proven experience with SQL, including writing complex queries and optimizing performance Hands-on experience with modern data transformation tools such as dbt or SQLMesh Familiarity with cloud data warehouses, preferably Snowflake or BigQuery Proficiency in BI tools like Tableau, Metabase, Sigma, or Omni Strong stakeholder engagement skills, with experience translating business needs into technical solutions Experience with Python for data ingestion, transformation, and automation Understanding of data quality standards, testing, and anomaly detection Knowledge of CI/CD practices in data transformation and analytics infrastructure Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment Experience with AI/LLMs and automation in data workflows is a plus Start-up experience and healthcare domain knowledge are advantageous but not mandatory Responsibilities Build and maintain robust dbt models that transform raw source data into reliable analytical assets Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to clarify and refine business questions into precise data deliverables Design, develop, and deploy Tableau dashboards and automated data products to streamline reporting processes Identify gaps in data coverage and work independently or with engineering to develop new ingestion pipelines or models Ensure data quality by implementing tests, monitoring for anomalies, and maintaining documentation standards Contribute to the development of shared macros, source definitions, and CI/CD practices to improve team efficiency Participate in various data science or engineering projects, including pipeline development, ML feature engineering, and predictive modeling Support continuous improvement of analytical infrastructure to enhance data reliability and usability Engage proactively with stakeholders to become a trusted analytical partner and deliver impactful insights Benefits Competitive salary with performance-based bonus and equity options Comprehensive healthcare, vision, and dental coverage All necessary equipment provided for effective remote or hybrid work Flexible working arrangements to support work-life balance Personal development budgets to foster continuous learning 18 days of PTO plus public holidays and 10 paid sick days Inclusive workplace policies designed to promote diversity and fairness Equal Opportunity Scan.com is committed to creating an inclusive environment where all employees and applicants are treated with respect and fairness. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.
