About Yara Yara is building the future of finding work. Most hiring tools are stuck in the 90s and AI is making it worse, not better. More spam, more noise, more generic outreach that wastes everyone's time. We're reworking how people find their next role with one profile that actually shows your work, smart matching that puts you in front of the right companies, and a real person on the other side who cares about getting it right. We work with companies across AI, developer tools, consumer, fintech, and health tech, ranging from teams that have raised $1B+ with 3,000+ employees to earlier stage companies at $50M+ with 100+ employees. We've helped talent from Google, Apple, Palantir, Uber, and Ramp connect with companies like Vercel, Paraform, Abridge, and Parallel. About this role Companies in the Yara Network are hiring Forward Deployed Engineers: engineers who sit with the customer, wire the product into a messy real environment, and ship until it sticks. Palantir coined the title. AI companies now hire it as the default way to land enterprise. The bar is the same as our Full Stack and Founding Engineer postings, plus the customer-facing piece: you can write the code and you can be in the room when it has to work on their stack, their data, and their timeline. Who this is for You like being on site with the problem. Slack is not enough. You go, you watch, you ship. You are a strong generalist: TypeScript or Python, APIs, deploys, and the ugly integration in between. You can explain a technical tradeoff to a non-engineer without sanding off the truth. Ambiguity does not freeze you. Half-specified customer environments are the job. You want ownership over a ticket queue. The customer's success is the spec. You may be a good fit if you have 2 to 6 years building production software, or less with exceptional shipped work TypeScript or Python, plus comfort with REST APIs, cloud, and debugging other people's systems Time spent with users or customers, not only with other engineers An LLM-powered feature or agent you have taken past the demo is a strong plus Willingness to be in San Francisco or New York when the work needs it A GitHub, portfolio, or writeup of something you deployed into the real world If we don't move forward together, you can still use your Yara to list your work, browse millions of roles, manage your job search, and stay in our network for when something new comes up. This is a Yara Network Application. Apply once and get matched across our partner companies.

Here's how to pick the right one and stand out in your application.

That number is real. WorkMundi's database shows 144,883 open engineer roles across the world. India has the most with 31,687 jobs, followed by the United States with 30,084. If you just finished reading one job ad and felt paralyzed by choice, you're not alone—but this scale is actually an advantage. It means you can afford to be selective.

Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully. Then check which countries have the volume you're targeting. Singapore, Poland, and Australia round out the top five after India and the US.

Next, learn who's hiring. Accenture has posted 2,801 engineer roles. andurilindustries, speechify, and jobgether are also actively recruiting. If you're applying to one of these names, research their hiring patterns and interview style before you apply. That homework pays off.

When you interview, expect the question every engineer hears: 'Tell me about a time you had to debug a problem that wasn't in your job description.' Have a specific story ready—not a general one. Name the tools, the deadline pressure, and what you learned. Hiring managers listen for whether you see problem-solving as part of the role itself, not a favour.
