As a Founding Engineer, you will work directly with the Sr. Engineer, interns, and founders to build the core product from the ground up, focusing on data ingestion, backend services, integrations, and AI components. What you will do Work directly with the Sr. Engineer, interns, and founders to build Suede’s core product. Focus on data ingestion, backend services, integrations, and AI components. Transform unstructured retail data into usable insights. Take proven prototypes and strengthen them for production. Contribute to early architectural decisions. Build AI agents and multimodal pipelines that power the platform. Own significant parts of the stack and influence technical direction. Iterate quickly based on real customer workflows. What we are looking for 2-5 years of professional software engineering experience. Strong backend or full-stack experience (TypeScript/Node, Python, Next.js). Familiarity with AI models, LLMs, RAG pipelines, multimodal models, or agent-based workflows. Ability to take loosely defined problems and deliver production-ready solutions. Strong sense of ownership, attention to detail, and iterative execution style. Familiarity with cloud environments (AWS/GCP/Azure), Postgres, and CI/CD workflows.
