About the Role We are looking for a Senior AWS Cloud Engineer with strong hands-on experience designing, automating, securing, and operating AWS infrastructure in complex enterprise environments. This role goes beyond traditional DevOps or CI/CD responsibilities. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of AWS infrastructure, cloud architecture, security, governance, networking, infrastructure as code, and automation, with the ability to troubleshoot and improve production environments. Key Responsibilities Design, implement, and maintain scalable and highly available AWS infrastructure. Architect and manage AWS environments across multiple accounts and environments. Work with services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, EKS, S3, Lambda, CloudFormation, and other AWS services. Develop and maintain Infrastructure as Code using Terraform and/or CloudFormation. Implement AWS security, governance, and compliance controls across enterprise environments. Automate infrastructure provisioning, operational processes, monitoring, and remediation. Design and maintain secure networking solutions, including VPCs, connectivity, routing, and hybrid-cloud environments. Support containerized workloads using Kubernetes and Amazon EKS. Implement and improve monitoring, observability, logging, and alerting for production environments. Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and production issues and drive root-cause resolution. Collaborate with security, engineering, development, and operations teams to deliver reliable cloud solutions. Contribute to cloud architecture, technical standards, and best practices. Support automation and engineering initiatives using scripting or programming languages such as Python, Go, or Bash. Required Qualifications 5+ years of experience in Cloud Engineering, Infrastructure Engineering, or a related field. Strong hands-on experience with AWS in production environments. Strong understanding of AWS networking, IAM, security, and infrastructure architecture. Experience with AWS multi-account environments and cloud governance. Strong Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform and/or CloudFormation. Hands-on experience with Kubernetes and/or Amazon EKS. Experience with AWS services such as EC2, VPC, IAM, S3, Lambda, and CloudWatch. Experience with cloud automation and infrastructure deployment. Experience troubleshooting and supporting production cloud environments. Strong understanding of security, reliability, scalability, and high availability in cloud environments. Strong English communication skills. Nice to Have Experience with AWS Organizations, Service Control Policies (SCPs), or Control Tower. Experience in healthcare, financial services, or other highly regulated environments. Knowledge of HIPAA, SOC 2, PCI-DSS, or similar compliance frameworks.
