Job Title: DATA ENGINEER II Location: Plantation, Florida (Onsite) Shift: Monday - Friday Position Summary: The Technology & Data team is seeking an experienced Data Engineer II to support the design, development, and optimization of enterprise data solutions within a healthcare environment. This role is responsible for building scalable data pipelines, integrating data across multiple platforms, and delivering high-quality data assets that support analytics, reporting, and business decision-making. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience with Databricks, SQL, SQL Server, SSIS, PL/SQL, and healthcare data. Key Responsibilities: Design, develop, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using Databricks and SQL technologies. Build and optimize data ingestion, transformation, and integration processes across healthcare systems and enterprise data sources. Develop and support data warehouses, data marts, and analytical data models. Create, optimize, and maintain complex SQL queries, stored procedures, views, functions, and database objects. Develop and support SSIS packages and data integration workflows. Utilize Databricks, Apache Spark, and Delta Lake technologies to process and transform large datasets. Collaborate with business stakeholders, analysts, architects, and application teams to deliver effective data solutions. Monitor data quality and resolve performance bottlenecks and production issues. Support HIPAA compliance, data governance, and data security initiatives. Develop and maintain technical documentation and data mappings. Required Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related field. Minimum of 3 years of experience in Data Engineering, Data Warehousing, or a related technical role. Strong hands-on experience with Databricks and Apache Spark. Advanced SQL development skills, including query optimization and performance tuning. Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including stored procedures, indexing, and database performance tuning. Experience developing and supporting SSIS (SQL Server Integration Services) packages. Experience with PL/SQL development. Experience building and maintaining ETL/ELT pipelines and data integration solutions. Healthcare industry experience working with claims, provider, member, clinical, or operational healthcare data. Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Python and PySpark. Knowledge of Delta Lake and Lakehouse architecture. Familiarity with healthcare data standards such as HL7, FHIR, ICD-10, and CPT. Experience with Git and CI/CD deployment practices. Databricks certification preferred.
