Senior Cloud Systems Administrator

𝐒𝐞𝐧𝐢𝐨𝐫 𝐂𝐥𝐨𝐮𝐝 𝐒𝐲𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐦𝐬 𝐀𝐝𝐦𝐢𝐧𝐢𝐬𝐭𝐫𝐚𝐭𝐨𝐫 Join Acarin Inc as a Senior Cloud Systems Administrator to manage and maintain critical Windows and Linux servers in the Azure Government cloud environment. This role combines advanced system administration with database management responsibilities, supporting cleared personnel in a secure, high-availability environment while ensuring compliance with federal security standards. 𝐊𝐞𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐩𝐨𝐧𝐬𝐢𝐛𝐢𝐥𝐢𝐭𝐢𝐞𝐬 • Manage and maintain Windows and Linux servers in Azure Government cloud, ensuring high availability and security of all virtual machines and services • Configure systems, implement patch management strategies, and troubleshoot complex issues to maintain optimal system performance • Administer user and service accounts for cleared personnel, managing access permissions according to least privilege principles • Integrate systems with Azure Active Directory and on-premises AD for centralized identity management and multi-factor authentication • Monitor system performance metrics including CPU, memory, disk usage, and event logs using Azure Monitor and custom scripts • Respond to system alerts and conduct thorough root cause analysis for any downtime or performance degradation • Maintain comprehensive data backup and recovery procedures for critical systems, including periodic testing of restore processes • Evaluate and recommend database management system (DBMS) products to meet organizational requirements • Address all vulnerabilities identified through system scanning and security assessments • Design and implement database architecture solutions across various repository environments including data warehouses and OLTP systems 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent professional experience • Minimum 3 years of related system administration experience required • CompTIA Security+ certification required to satisfy DoD 8570.01M requirements for IAT Level II • Active Secret clearance or higher, with ability to maintain as a condition of employment • US Citizenship required 𝐑𝐞𝐪𝐮𝐢𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐒𝐤𝐢𝐥𝐥𝐬 • Senior-level system administrator expertise in Linux and Windows environments • Hands-on experience with Azure Active Directory and Azure Monitor • Advanced proficiency in Ansible and PowerShell scripting • Extensive experience in database architecture, design, and processing models • Practical experience with Oracle PL/SQL, SQL, SQL*Plus, SQL Developer, and Microsoft SQL Server • Strong knowledge of HTML, CSS, AJAX, and JSON • Expertise in RDBMS modeling, data integrity, and development tools like SQL Developer/TOAD • Experience with data migration from legacy database systems to modern platforms 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐟𝐞𝐫𝐫𝐞𝐝 𝐐𝐮𝐚𝐥𝐢𝐟𝐢𝐜𝐚𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧𝐬 • Master's degree in Computer Science or equivalent professional experience • 10+ years of related experience with at least 5+ years focused on database and data management • Extensive knowledge of Azure Cloud services and cloud-based database management • Experience with Microsoft Visio for technical diagramming • Background working in Agile/Scrum development environments • Experience in Federal or State government contracting environments • Demonstrated ability to work independently and remotely • Additional work-dependent certifications beyond Security+ 𝐖𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐖𝐞 𝐎𝐟𝐟𝐞𝐫 Acarin Inc provides a competitive benefits package and the opportunity to work on challenging projects in the IT consulting space, supporting critical government systems and infrastructure.
