Job Details Description https://www.ardaninc.com/california-employee-and-job-application-privacy-notice/ Position Summary The Analytics Engineer — Predictive Analytics & BI will join the Business Intelligence team and report to the Business Intelligence Manager. This role will help advance the organization’s predictive analytics, reporting, data modeling, automation, and data infrastructure capabilities. The primary focus of the role is predictive analytics, including forecasting, trend analysis, scoring models, performance projections, statistical modeling, and other predictive tools that help the business anticipate outcomes, identify opportunities, and make more informed decisions. The role will also support broader BI initiatives, including data modeling, reporting, data validation, automation, and data engineering-related work. The ideal candidate is technically strong, highly motivated, collaborative, and able to contribute quickly. The BI team operates with a high degree of autonomy, so this role requires someone who is self-directed, business-minded, and comfortable thinking strategically about how data can improve business performance. Key Responsibilities Develop predictive analytics solutions that support forecasting, performance measurement, business planning, and opportunity identification. Build analytical models, datasets, and tools that help business leaders understand trends, risks, performance drivers, and future outcomes. Work with large and complex datasets, primarily using SQL and AWS Redshift. Support BI reporting and dashboard initiatives, including KPI development, executive reporting, and recurring performance analysis. Assist with data engineering-related work, including data extraction, transformation, cleansing, validation, automation, and data pipeline support. Partner with the BI Manager, BI team members, IT, and business stakeholders to translate business needs into actionable data solutions. Help improve data quality, consistency, scalability, and reliability across reporting and analytics processes. Communicate analytical findings clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences. Contribute to a collaborative BI team culture built around ownership, strategic thinking, problem-solving, and continuous improvement. Required Qualifications Experience in analytics, business intelligence, data engineering, predictive analytics, or a related technical data role. Strong SQL skills, including experience querying, transforming, validating, and analyzing complex datasets. Experience working with cloud data warehouses or relational databases; AWS Redshift experience strongly preferred. Experience with predictive analytics, forecasting, statistical analysis, trend analysis, or business performance projections. Experience with Python, R, or similar tools for data analysis, automation, or modeling. Strong understanding of data modeling, data quality, and analytical dataset development. Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and contribute quickly in a fast-moving environment. Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain technical concepts and analytical findings to business stakeholders. Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with Power BI, DAX, Power Query, semantic models, or dashboard development. Experience with Microsoft Fabric, including OneLake, Data Factory, Lakehouse, Warehouse, Notebooks, or related Fabric capabilities. Experience with ETL/ELT processes, data pipelines, APIs, or data warehouse architecture. Experience supporting sales analytics, financial analytics, operational analytics, executive reporting, or business intelligence initiatives. Experience working with Salesforce, CRM, revenue, customer, agent, or operational datasets. Familiarity with machine learning concepts, regression modeling, classification, forecasting methods, or scoring models. Experience automating reporting, analytics workflows, or recurring data processes. Familiarity with documentation, testing, version control, or analytics engineering best practices. Ideal Candidate Profile The ideal candidate is a hands-on builder who can operate across predictive analytics, business intelligence, and data engineering support. This person should be comfortable working through ambiguity, asking good questions, and turning complex or imperfect data into useful business tools. This role is a strong fit for someone who wants autonomy, ownership, and the opportunity to help shape a growing Business Intelligence function. The right candidate will be a team player who is motivated, intellectually curious, and willing to think strategically about how data can improve business performance. Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
