Telecom Planning & Design Engineer Location: Houston, TX Job Type and Duration: Long-Term Contract Pay Rate: $28-$30/hr Overview We are looking for an individual with advanced fiber knowledge. Needs candidates with an understanding of: - fiber design - fiber muxing standards - fiber documentation Responsible for construction coordination and the planning and designing of broadband communication systems. Works with project team to design systems and determine project specifications. Creates construction jobs, ensures proper documentation available to proceed, assesses nearby jobs for synergies, conducts point to point design and reserves wavelengths and is tightly aligned with the network plan group to ensure builds are holistic. Tracks and keeps current system spreadsheets and documents. • Regular, consistent and punctual attendance.
