Requirements Description & Requirements Maximus is seeking a Configuration Management Analyst to provide expertise to a federal client in support of their mission critical systems in defense of our Homeland. This position is onsite in Colorado Springs, CO and requires a Secret clearance. Maximus TCS (Technology and Consulting Services) Internal Job Profile Code: TCS136, T4, Band 7 Job-Specific Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and document configuration management requirements, ensuring accurate and up-to-date configuration data. Develop and maintain configuration management plans, policies, and procedures for a variety of different systems, such as Windows, Linux, RHEL, etc. Maintaining the configuration management database and repository. Perform regular audits, review, and documentation for system configurations. Support cross-functional teams in conducting environment scans and documentation in preparation for upgrades, patches, disaster recovery, and any other happenings as needed. Work closely with system admins, network engineers, platform engineers, and other IT staff to ensure documentation and recording of configurations. Manage the configuration report of all systems and software/hardware across the enterprise environment. Identify opportunities to improve the configuration process/practices. Maintain version control of operational configurations for hardware and software. Work closely with stakeholders to resolve configuration-related issues and discrepancies. Stay current with industry trends and best practices. Other tasks as assigned. Job-Specific Minimum Requirements: - Hands-on experience utilizing configuration and change management tools to support system lifecycle and operational governance. Active Secret clearance is required. Due to contract requirements, only US Citizens can be considered. Minimum of 7 years of experience in configuration management, change management, or related IT service management disciplines. Experience administering and maintaining configuration baselines, system documentation, and change control processes. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint). This contract supports systems that require 24x7x365 uptime. Candidates must be willing and able to meet recall requirements, including participation in a rotational on-call schedule. Preferred Skills and Qualifications: Experience supporting Windows, Linux/Unix, and Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating environments. Experience utilizing configuration and change management tools, such as IBM Engineering Lifecycle Management (ELM), IBM Rational, Git, and ServiceNow.
