In our first 2 years, Arbital Health has established itself as a trusted partner for over 40 payers, providers, and other stakeholders looking to navigate the complexities of risk-based contracting. We’re looking for a QA Automation Engineer to lead and elevate quality across our SaaS platform and its expanding suite of AI-driven capabilities. In this role, you help drive quality across our engineering teams by designing and implementing scalable automated testing solutions focusing primarily on API testing, with additional responsibility for end-to-end UI testing. You'll work in an AI-native environment -- fluency with AI coding tools isn't just a nice-to-have; it's how we ship fast without sacrificing quality. You will collaborate closely with developers and product teams to analyze requirements, design automated test cases, and ensure high levels of test coverage and reliability. In this role, you will architect and implement scalable test frameworks, drive our automation strategy, and ensure robust, reliable releases. This Role Might Be For You If You Thrive in ambiguity, value collaboration, and want to be part of a culture that supports rapid innovation without compromising quality Have proven success in creating comprehensive and maintainable automated tests for a fast-moving product Can design test strategies that blend automated regression coverage with targeted manual testing Have tested AI features in production and know how to validate retrieval quality and are familiar with hallucination risks and prompt sensitivity Have the experience and intuition to see around corners, identify quality risks, and implement preemptive solutions through automation What You’ll Do Write, maintain, and scale automated test code for the full stack, APIs, and data validation using modern testing frameworks Collaborate with product managers, actuaries, UX designers, and other engineers to design and implement automated UI tests, API tests, and performance monitoring tests to validate new features and detect regressions in existing features Own the QA automation lifecycle and continuously enhance the automation infrastructure Manage and monitor both automated and manual test execution to support continuous delivery What You Bring 2-7 years of experience in QA Automation Strong programming skills and hands-on experience writing automation code (JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar) Proven experience using automation frameworks for UI testing, such as Playwright, Selenium, Cypress, or similar Experience using AI tools to accelerate QA work — generating test cases, writing automation code, and analyzing test failures Solid understanding of CI/CD pipelines, build and release tools such as GitHub Actions or Jenkins A critical eye for implementing shift left and value over volume QA philosophies Excellent communication, collaboration, problem-solving skills, and an analytical mindset Prior healthcare experience is a plus Startup experience is a plus Tools We Use Python, R, SQL, Next.js, React, TypeScript, Tailwind CSS, FastAPI Claude, Cursor, Gemini Infrastructure: AWS, Databricks, PostgreSQL, Airflow Testing tools: Playwright, Datadog, GitHub Actions Version Control: GitHub Team Planning: Jira, Confluence $140,000 - $160,000 a year Why Join Us? Start by geography and language. The majority of engineer ads—117,837 of them—have the job posting text written in English. Use that as one filter, but remember: the ad text language tells you nothing about whether the role actually requires you to speak English day-to-day. Read the job description carefully.
